Post workout shake

I made this in a hurry a few weeks ago after the gym and I'm kind of a little bit obsessed with it! I'd just finished a hard fasted session and was heading for lunch but needed a little something to stop me being a hangry brat before my food arrived. It needed to be light, as not to spoil my lunch, but still packed with nutrients to help me refuel, and that's where this shake was born! It's so simple and you can sub in/out ingredients depending on what you have in the fridge/ cupboard.

The protein powder and chia seeds help to repair muscles, the coconut water helps to rehydrate and restore electrolytes and the almond milk as well as being high in nutrients (especially vitamins A, D & E) gives the shake a delicious creamy flavour!

Ingredients

1 scoop protein powder (I used chocolate but any will do!)

1/2 tbsp chia seeds

1 little gem lettuce or a handful of spinach

150 ml of unsweetened almond milk

100 ml coconut water
