Whenever I’m feeling tired/sluggish/bloated I always turn to my favourite green juice. It contains so many vitamins and nutrients meaning it’s a great boost but is also helps to soothe, refresh and rehydrate. So read on for my recipe for this super juice and to find out what makes it quite so amazing!

Cucumber – 1½ whole cucumber
Cucumber being 95% water is of course super hydrating; it is also anti-inflammatory and has kidney cleansing properties, which is great for water retention prevention. Cucumber also contains chlorophyll, which feeds the good bacteria in your gut.
Celery – 4 stalks
Celery is another vegetable that has a super high water content. Celery helps to flush out excess water as it is a natural diuretic, due to the fact that is contains potassium and sodium, both of which are key in electrolyte balance.
Lemon – 1 whole (make sure you remove the skin before juicing!)
Lemons contain high levels of bioflavonoids, which boost the immune system. They are also high in vitamin C, which is important in maintaining a healthy metabolism. Lemons can also help to maintain a flat stomach due to their diuretic and laxative properties.
Spinach – a handful
We all know how great spinach is for you, I could list its many amazing qualities forever – but I won’t bore you! Spinach is great in this juice as it can protect the digestive tract from inflammation. Plus it contains magnesium, which is great for calming, reducing stress and helping with muscle relaxation.

Mint – a few sprigs to taste
Mint is great for indigestions and also helps to soothe the stomach and reduce bloating.
Ginger – a thumb sized piece
Ginger is a really powerful anti-inflammatory that helps to aid digestion. It is also immune boosting and antiviral.

All of these ingredients combined together create such a beautiful juice, which is not only so refreshing but also so amazing for your body. If you’re not a fan of purely vegetable juices – an added apple tastes amazing to sweeten this up.
