Last week I finally visited 1Rebel with a group of girls @lovaine_ @tabithamahe and @greenmindandbody. 1Rebel is located a short walk from Liverpool Street Station and is just round the corner from one of my favourite restaurants, Sushi Samba.
We decided to book a lunch time session, which meant at 30 minutes long, it was shorter than the usual classes, but thank goodness we did. It. Was. Brutal. I chose to start the class on the treadmills thinking it would be the hardest part, but as quite a keen runner I definitely found the weighted exercises on the bench much more difficult!

After the class we were greeted by refrigerated towels in the changing room, which were definitely needed. Also with the lunchtime slots you can pre-order a complimentary shake/juice from the Roots & Bulbs bar upstairs. It was great having my “Whey of The Gods” waiting for me to grab when I’d showered and changed.

As for the gym itself, it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s very industrial looking with lots of exposed brick, copper pipes and factory style lights – basically my dream style of interior. But what really sets 1Rebel apart from other gyms is the little things. For example there are heaps of fresh towels everywhere, complimentary water bottles and the changing rooms are so well stocked with everything you’d need.
All you need to bring is your gym kit, and plastic bags are even provided to shove your sweaty clothes into afterwards.

Overall, I’d say my experience at 1Rebel was absolutely brilliant – it’s a super intense workout given it was only half an hour long and it’s not for the faint hearted. We went to the Reshape Full Body workout. I can’t wait to try out the other classes too – especially Ride. If ever in the area, please check it out. Your first session is £10 and you can book online here - http://www.1rebel.co.uk/reserve/index.cfm?action=Reserve.chooseClass&site=1&roomid=1
