Tennis Tuesdays

On Tuesday Lovaine and I rocked up at Paddington Recreational Grounds in London not really knowing what to expect. We were the first to arrive, so we popped off to get changed into our (matching) ensembles and by the time we were back most of the other girls had arrived.

We met our coach for the session and started with a quick warm up on the courts. The warm up consisted of a few shuttle runs and some throwing and catching exercises. We were then handed our racquets and got straight into it! We partnered up, Em and I chose each other, naturally, and the games began. More than anything, it was a hilarious session, which had us laughing hysterically as we hit balls over fences and (accidentally) into camera men.

This week was the launch of Tennis Tuesdays and there will now be sessions all over the country every Tuesday. The great thing about the initiative is that it makes playing tennis easy, the coaches bring along all the racquets and balls, book the courts, as well as offering direction during the sessions. All you have to do is show up – so what are you waiting for?
